Lululemon wanted a pre-marathon activation that did more than hand out merchandise - they wanted attendees to create something personal, on-brand and worth keeping.
The Attention Co built the interactive technology behind a design-your-own poster experience. Attendees used large touchscreens to design personalised posters in Lululemon's signature style, preview their work in real time and walk away with a premium A3 print - a tangible, shareable keepsake that reinforced the brand long after the event.
The build turned a standard brand presence into a hands-on creative moment, with every participant becoming the designer of their own takeaway.
The event challenge
Create a captivating pre-marathon activation that engaged participants and fans directly with the brand. The experience needed to let attendees express themselves creatively while staying true to Lululemon's signature visual style.
It also needed a tangible takeaway - something attendees could keep, share and remember - rather than another digital-only interaction or piece of generic merchandise.
The technology had to work reliably in a busy public event environment, support fast back-to-back use across multiple stations, and be intuitive enough for every age and comfort level.
What we built
The Attention Co built the interactive technology layer behind the experience: a custom touchscreen design platform, real-time poster preview, brand-aligned templates, drag-and-drop personalisation and direct integration with professional A3 printers.
The software was designed for high-traffic events - modular, scalable and easy to operate, with a simple interface that kept queues moving while still delivering a premium output.
The audience experience
Attendees approached the touchscreen stations, chose from a range of brand-aligned templates, added personalised messages and adjusted text, colour and layout with a live real-time preview.
Once happy with their design, they printed it instantly in premium A3 - a physical keepsake that celebrated their individuality, reinforced the brand and created a natural social share moment.

Touchscreen design interface
A custom, drag-and-drop UI let attendees build their own poster on 22"–33" touchscreens - adjusting text, colour and layout with a live preview that made the process feel immediate and accessible.
Real-time preview engine
Every change rendered instantly, so users could experiment confidently before committing to print - reducing errors, speeding up the flow and keeping queues moving.
Brand-aligned templates
The design system was built around Lululemon's visual language, giving every output a premium, on-brand look while still allowing personal expression.
A3 print integration
The platform was wired directly to professional-grade printers with photopaper and vibrant inks, turning digital designs into tangible, high-quality A3 keepsakes within seconds.

The result was a brand activation that gave every participant a personal creative moment - and a premium takeaway they could take home, display and share.
Why it worked
The experience worked because it turned attendees from observers into creators. Instead of receiving a pre-made item, each person designed something that reflected their own style and message.
The real-time preview made the design process feel safe and playful, while the instant A3 print gave the interaction a satisfying, memorable conclusion.
For agencies, this is a strong example of how event technology can elevate a product or brand experience - making it participatory, personal and physically memorable.
In summary
For Lululemon, The Attention Co built the interactive technology behind a design-your-own poster activation - combining touchscreen UI, real-time preview, brand-aligned templates and instant A3 print output.
Attendees created personalised posters in the brand's signature style and walked away with a premium printed keepsake, turning a standard pre-marathon presence into a memorable, hands-on creative experience.
The build demonstrated how event technology can transform passive brand exposure into active, shareable participation.
